Your style is definately the selling point to this flash. It's simple yet imaginative and dark. I enjoyed it.

My favorite holiday...
is around the corner again. Nice to see some haunting submissions. I agree with the last review I read--you have some great work here, it just needs a bit of length. Keep putting them out there! ^_^
That...
was damn bloody brilliant! The lack of animation made it that much more fun to laugh at. You know those nails they used to hang Christ up with? Well you hit them all on the head. Keep up the awesome work. Give us more.
Clean and Original
If you haven't given yourself a cookie for this one, do so now. The film seemed a bit slow to me but I may be having processing issues at the moment so that aside, great work. Humor, originality, patience. Excellent.
"Someone left you a message" ME.
Random is great and THIS is full of randomness. You have a huge immagination. That's key in flash these days. Otherwise you end up with a barage of machine guns and every other word coming from the character's mouth is just foul.
Good job. I'd like to see more of this Blockhead-though his head is actually round. ^_^
*sigh*
It makes a lot of sense for a lot of (white???) people to make such commentary as this flash represents. There are a large number of (insert minority here???) people who feel entitled to a great many freedoms because of the hurdles they face every day. Women have also faced prejudices as well. HOWEVER, and this is a big however, Kayne West was not asking for a handout as a black man. He was making a just point.
As an artist and possibly an American you have the right to say as you wish. And I would fight to my death to keep that right for myself as well. But you have the message he was trying to portray wrong. Kayne West actually has family in Louisiana. And most of the affected areas' majority are indeed black people. Furthermore, the military WAS ordered to cease attempted assist so that they could pull guns on rioters.
It is my opinion (although completely unrelated to how decent your flash is) that the rioters should have been ignored for the safety of the mass majority of people who were suffering in trapped areas. Did you know that they were kept from leaving the area because surrounding counties didn't want refugees??
Lastly, if it isn't clear to you by now that Bush is out for himself and didn't care about those people in Louisiana, check his approval ratings.
Thanks for your well thought out and written response. I suggest you read some things that I have written on the subject: http://www.zipperfish.com/rantsblog/2005/09/hurricane-values_112571539949851383.html
Of course West was not asking for a handout, he makes an ABSURD amount of money at what he does. According to you, rioters and looters should not be told to "freeze" & "drop that TV and put your hand on your head", just because they are poor. And this is Bush's fault? Yes he was 24 hours late on the job, and he hired an idiot friend to head FEMA, but not because he hates black people. What about the BLACK Mayor nagel? Isn't HE a bit responsible? It's so easy to blame others when people are to lazy to take care of themselves.
o_O
I find it quite ironic that you would pump out a quality stick movie about protecting stick movies that aren't quality. If this is the quality you are usually responsible for, then I agree with you. I don't think your movies should be blammed.
However, if you are referring to all stick movies (your stick did mention guns and ninjas) then I completely disagree with you. Creating stick figure movies in hopes of becomming a popular flash artist is a poor way to appreciate art. There are two things lacking in most stick films--talent and drawing practice.
Regardless, this was fun. Thanks for putting it out.
Wit at it's finest
It was refreshing and full of wit. All my laugh are belong to you. Thanks for entertaining me.
By the way--you have an afinity for character position. Your characters went from relaxed and supporting their heads to sitting on the edge of their seats. Great job there.
What's normal for me...
I do not promote violence, gore and blood. I especially despise violence toward the innocence above all else. This is especially so when it involves children, animals and the handicapped. But you, my friend, have delivered this flash animation with beauty, artistry and great timing.
I'm assuming you used Corel Painter (or something similar) for the grainy affect on the non animated frames. ie the match being stricken and the neighbor being stabbed.
It was absolutely bloody brilliant--bloody for sure, ha ha. Anyway, keep your artistry coming. You're appreciated.
This is my favorite review of all ^^
thank you so much!
P.S. I used photoshop for the stills.
Immagination is good. There's no need for a point.
