Your style is definately the selling point to this flash. It's simple yet imaginative and dark. I enjoyed it.

:]
*sigh*
It makes a lot of sense for a lot of (white???) people to make such commentary as this flash represents. There are a large number of (insert minority here???) people who feel entitled to a great many freedoms because of the hurdles they face every day. Women have also faced prejudices as well. HOWEVER, and this is a big however, Kayne West was not asking for a handout as a black man. He was making a just point.
As an artist and possibly an American you have the right to say as you wish. And I would fight to my death to keep that right for myself as well. But you have the message he was trying to portray wrong. Kayne West actually has family in Louisiana. And most of the affected areas' majority are indeed black people. Furthermore, the military WAS ordered to cease attempted assist so that they could pull guns on rioters.
It is my opinion (although completely unrelated to how decent your flash is) that the rioters should have been ignored for the safety of the mass majority of people who were suffering in trapped areas. Did you know that they were kept from leaving the area because surrounding counties didn't want refugees??
Lastly, if it isn't clear to you by now that Bush is out for himself and didn't care about those people in Louisiana, check his approval ratings.
Thanks for your well thought out and written response. I suggest you read some things that I have written on the subject: http://www.zipperfish.com/rantsblog/2005/09/hurricane-values_112571539949851383.html
Of course West was not asking for a handout, he makes an ABSURD amount of money at what he does. According to you, rioters and looters should not be told to "freeze" & "drop that TV and put your hand on your head", just because they are poor. And this is Bush's fault? Yes he was 24 hours late on the job, and he hired an idiot friend to head FEMA, but not because he hates black people. What about the BLACK Mayor nagel? Isn't HE a bit responsible? It's so easy to blame others when people are to lazy to take care of themselves.
What's normal for me...
I do not promote violence, gore and blood. I especially despise violence toward the innocence above all else. This is especially so when it involves children, animals and the handicapped. But you, my friend, have delivered this flash animation with beauty, artistry and great timing.
I'm assuming you used Corel Painter (or something similar) for the grainy affect on the non animated frames. ie the match being stricken and the neighbor being stabbed.
It was absolutely bloody brilliant--bloody for sure, ha ha. Anyway, keep your artistry coming. You're appreciated.
This is my favorite review of all ^^
thank you so much!
P.S. I used photoshop for the stills.
Really...
Okay, look, I'm well aware that you have the last say here but I'm not here to insult you. You have some skill in flash. As a matter of fact you have too much skill to be wasting on such childish antics. I could tell that you're very young by all of your voices--that's why I'm going easy on you with the insults. But honestly, guys, when you have to incorporate the word "poop" in your flash animations, there's something wrong or your mom is standing behind you. Don't get me wrong--I don't want you to turn out your next flash with the word shit smeared all over it. In fact, I just think you'd do well to step away from feces.
Feces is normal, natural and everyone does it. Why, oh, why do you find it humorous to make a full length flash about? I know that you're young and I'm hoping really hard that you'll find maturity so you can turn out a flash to be proud of some day. But honestly, you will get older despite whether or not you actually grow up. Do you really think you'll look back on this flash as a father and say "wow, what an accomplishment!" You can do better.
Sorry. :( I didnt mean to upset you in any way. I will tell you now that I didnt write any dialog. I just animated it. I do have a newseires up. I will leave you a link to its episode intro. http://www.deviantart.com/view/23043327/ So if you want you could check it out.
You deserve individual marks
Okay, first off, let me say--to each his own. While I disagree with your distasteful way of promoting self esteem issues among women, I support your right to do so. As for your ratings...
Fat--On average, I do not giggle at the immaturity behind ultraviolence using machine guns. Especially when those machine guns (and or riffles) are geared toward defenseless animals (I was once called a peace loving hippy in a review of mine) but this was humorous. I think humor in violence has a lot to do with timing and effort. You put decent effort into this quasi-sprite and I enjoyed it. You get a 3/5 (That's a pretty high score coming from me since this was not a movie.) I enjoyed your randomness and your sillyness. I commend you for that.
Brick--Again--with degrading women because you weren't taught to respect them...to each his own. For the interactivity and slight humor behind this I give you a 2.5/5
Brick--For the random loop of a...whatever that was--your drawings were better than a lot of drawings I've seen. 1.5/5
Keep it up. I enjoy a laugh now and again. ^_^
The quiz looks much better in the Flash 8 version
Awesome.
I wish I had seen this one before I saw the last. It's hard to know which one is the most recent when you're just randomly clicking. This film is much much better than Knock Knock Stab. But you have absolutely got to make them longer. I, myself am working on my own flash skills and hope to be releasing something near as well done as what you've done. I'm a sincere fan so keep it up.
I put a song at the end of "Genica" but it wouldn't export the damn file, so I can't make my flashes too long with mosic or whatever without the program ceasing to respond. *tear*
Awesome
Very well done. I don't think there's a thing I could tell you in terms of criticism. It's refreshing to see a lock with such blatent originality in terms of style. I do enjoy SOME of the lock and clock movies but this one is in a league of it's own. Thanks for the laugh.
Thanks for the thanking for the laugh
Immagination is good. There's no need for a point.
