Awesome

Very well done. I don't think there's a thing I could tell you in terms of criticism. It's refreshing to see a lock with such blatent originality in terms of style. I do enjoy SOME of the lock and clock movies but this one is in a league of it's own. Thanks for the laugh.

Wonchop responds:

Thanks for the thanking for the laugh

I hate to complain but that was just not long enough. You apologized for not finishing because your lazy...but I'd like to think you were just a bit anxious to get your work out there and have it praised for all it's glory. LOL. It was awesome. I would have bestowed a higher score upon you had you made this flash longer.

Purple-Peace-Monkey responds:

I wanted to, believe me, but I am just not very patient with flash. All the movies I've done have not taken me more than 3-5 hours.

Worth my time...

This was heartfelt and truly wonderful of you. I find it reassuring that there are decent people in the world who do not lack feeling and positive representation for their parents. You're also a very decent artist and your style is truly commendable. Great flash. Tell your mum I said happy birthday. ^_^

numbers responds:

All that decency you think I have will soon disappear when my next submissions get made. >=)

Well done

I am probably not telling you anything you don't already know. You are an excellent artist. Your ability to paint electronically is awesome. Did you use painter and transfer it or was it all done by tablet in flash? The mood setting was great, the zooming technique was awesome. Very pleasing to the eye in terms of style, mood and setting. Film school?
The only criticism I have for you is the obvious--your humans walking need practice. But that's all they need--it will fall into place without elaborate explanation of what's lacking. Keep it up.

pidge208 responds:

thanks for ur review! i did all the drawing in flash. film school? naw, my parents told me it happened to them so its basically a true story except my dad didnt shoot the cat O_o

Great job

I love your style, however choppy some of the movements are. It gives the viewer a sense of how much creativity went into this flash. Your human artistry is well done, also. The lack of stick figures was a nice change of pace. And of course, the joke--I heard that same joke so long ago--it was much funnier with an animation to go with it. Keep it up. You have excellent story telling skills.

Poor bug

I thought it was great up until the cliched machine gun scene. Some gangsta coming out of the wood work and blowing everyone away...well--you'll probably get every 14 year old on newgrounds to vote high. Anyway--good job up until that point.

Gained my respect...in some weird, morbid way...

Months ago I learned of you in my little-brother-in-law's bedroom. I heard such swearing coming from your cute, angry little mouth and was disgusted by you. NOT BY YOUR OPINIONS, mind you...but by the way in which you deliver them. But watching this latest film of yours...I see that your message is just as important as any other, regardless of how disturbingly you have delivered it. You've gained my respect and I guess I'll tune in more often, all the while playing with the volume button to see if I can censor you. LOL. *runs off to donate to red cross*

Poof?

Your drawings were very decent which is why I gave you a high mark for style. I did, however, find that poof shitting out a wand and blowing everyone's heads off was a bit--cliche for a flash animation. You have such potential and I see that you aim to please in humor. Perhaps relying on violence isn't the way you should head with something like this. Pretty decent flash, despite all that. Your biggest mistake, in my opinion, was claiming to copywrite this flash. You legally CANNOT copywrite this because you actually placed a photo of the already copywrited characters in this flash. Omit it and I think you can get away with "parody rights". Otherwise you could be sued so fast you'd be shitting bricks.

monkeycat responds:

I thought you could only get sued if you make money off of it? Anyway, thanks for the kind words... for some reason violence in cartoons appeals to me.. I was going to direct you to my web site to review my other cartoons but unfortunately I think they are all a little violent...

Neat

I admire the amount of time that you put into this flash. I doubt very many people know the work that goes into this type of animation. And it's a damn shame that we have just about no one to work on things like this anymore since the death of Mr. Jim Henson. Good work. Keep at it. And don't listen to pish pash about a story line being necessary. Random bouts of immaginative showing of your skills is just fine.

Darc-Legend responds:

A minute's worth of claymation takes me usually 3 weeks to animate, edit, and render on my computer. Thank you kindly for your review as well, i'ts heartening to hear that people still enjoy claymation

Friendly Mammals

I'm always in favor of barnyard fun. The flash was funny in a cute way but it was way too short. And you desperately need to put some shading in your artwork. It will bring it's appearance up immensely. Otherwise it was good.

Immagination is good. There's no need for a point.
